Magnat Hybrid Amplifier MA 900 Black
Magnat MA 900 is a hybrid amplifier with a MM/MS phono corrector. The German company Magnat has introduced a new model of the hybrid integrated amplifier MA 900, characterized by the presence of a built-in universal corrector and a DAC unit.
The preamp section in the model is built on ECC 81 dual triodes, and the manufacturer emphasizes that the lamps are not only paired, but also undergo a preheating procedure before being installed in the circuit. The output stage is transistor–type and can develop a long-term power of 200 watts per channel for a 4 ohm load, while the peak power reaches 320 watts! A reliably shielded toroidal transformer is installed in the power supply unit.
There are five pairs of RCA line inputs for connecting analog sources, and there is a 3.5mm input on the front panel, as well as a 6.3mm headphone output.
The digital-to-analog converter unit is made on Cirrus Logic chips, the signal can be sent to it via two coaxial and two optical inputs, the maximum resolution is 24 bits/ 192 kHz. There is also a Bluetooth 5.0 module with support for the aptX codec. The built-in phono corrector can work with heads with a movable magnet (5 mV/47 kOhm) and with a movable coil (0.5 mV/470 ohms).
The interesting Source Gain feature allows you to adjust the gain within +/-6 dB separately for each input.
